Concert dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Armenian clergyman, scientist, poet, composer and founder of the Mekhitarist Order, Mkhitar Sebastatsi (1676–1749).
Mkhitar Sebastatsi played a significant role in the formation of Armenian spiritual and cultural life, making an invaluable contribution to the development of Armenian literature, education and spiritual music.
The program includes works by Mkhitar Sebastatsi, as well as prominent representatives of Armenian spiritual music H. Gabriel Aivazovsky, H. Ghevond Alishan, H. Mesrop Janashyan, H. Karapet Der Sahakyan and H. Vahan Hovhannesyan's works, presenting the audience with the spiritual depth and rich artistic heritage of the Armenian church and musical tradition.
