Jazz Lab will be hosted by musicologist and cultural expert Rima Tigranyan.
Music is also a form of communication, one of the most living languages, and jazz is one of its most sensual and vibrant manifestations. In jazz, musicians communicate without words, listening and feeling each other, responding to the moment right on stage.
In this Jazz Lab, we will discover jazz communication together at the levels of musician-musician, musician-music, and musician-audience communication. We will listen to performances created on the spot, try to apply analytical listening, and understand how jazz turns into a living dialogue.
