Juan de la Rubia (Spain), principal organist of the Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona, will perform a solo concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall as part of the 3rd Vahagn Stamboltsyan International Festival of Organ Music.
Member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi and professor at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia, Juan de la Rubia is one of the most famous and original organists in Spain. He has performed as a soloist in more than 30 countries around the world. In 2018, Juan de la Rubia was nominated for a Grammy Award for his album “Sacred Cantatas” (Erato, 2016).
