The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes is a volume including 11 short stories about the famous detective written by Arthur Conan Doyle. It was originally published in 1893. Conan Doyle had decided to put an end to the series and in the last story The Final Problem, Holmes dies after falling off a cliff while battling his arch-nemesis, the evil Professor Moriarty. But we meet him again in other stories of the next volumes.
