The performance tells the story of a girl who, having escaped from an orphanage with her friend, came to France to pursue her dream of becoming a ballerina. As events develop, the girl, Felice, having lost her friend, Victor, is left alone and wanders through nighttime Paris.
While wandering, she suddenly enters a theater, where she admires the ballerina and it so happens that the guard, having caught her, accuses her of theft.
